Harrington Sound Primary to present science fair today
For the first time ever Harrington Sound Primary School will be presenting a science fair at the school assembly hall on Thursday May 20 at 6 p.m.
The students promise that this fair will be exciting, with lots of different projects, including models and things moving.
Every class, including the Primary 1s, is going to be presenting what they have learned in science since September. There are going to be projects about seed germination, Earth's orbit, how long plants can live without carbon dioxide and water, the food chain, and vertebrates and invertebrates.
The work will be presented in a variety of exciting ways. There are going to be three-dimensional presentations, poster displays, graphs, dioramas, a terrarium with creatures and models with moving parts.
The public is urged to visit the colourful display because it is free, so anyone can come. It is after work, so it will be easy to attend, and you don't have to stay long. Besides, kids (and maybe grown-ups too) can learn new things.
The most important reason is that students have tried hard with their projects. It took a lot of effort to set up the displays and they will be disappointed if grown-ups don't come.
