We're never bored: After school clubs like the Board Game Club run by Mrs. Edness is one of many activities students at Warwick Academy can enjoy.

Warwick Academy always has something to do for children of all ages when school has finished. The after-school programmes are varied and numerous. These are usually held in the teachers’ classrooms. Monday through Friday, Warwick offers these clubs to keep children in a safe and fun environment, whilst exposing them to new experiences. There are so many different clubs like Homework Club where the children are given the time and space to do homework with a teacher there to help them.Another club is Cooking Club, held in the senior Food and Nutrition room by a senior teacher. There is also French Cooking for the culinary experts.Board Games Club is a very popular club held by Mrs Edness. This club allows the children to play different games like Monopoly, Hangman, Bingo and much, much more.Miss Ingham directs the Drama Club held on Tuesdays. The Dance Club is run by Mrs Finnigan and is also held on Tuesdays. For the more artistic there is Art Club and Sewing Club, which allows the children to make something and take it home with them. Some clubs are not offered all year round and this is especially true of the sports clubs. Swimming, football, cricket and softball happen at different times of the year. These clubs are open to both boys and girls, but sometimes the different year groups have different days. The Rugby Club is open to anyone from Year 1 to Year 6, boys and girls, and is very popular. It is run by one of the parents of a student but assisted by teachers from the school. For those children who like to be active but do not want to play a game there is Fitness Club. In this club the children learn about the different types of fitness such as walking and yoga. There are the more academic clubs too. The Maths Games club has fun with maths but also uses computers too.

Have a heart for art: exploring one's creative side is just one of many opportunities available to Warwick Academy students like Mya Gibbons, pictured here.
