Opening on February 8, this is a show that will surely steal your hearts!‘The Keymaster’, written by Nick Perrin, is a family-friendly production with a mixture of history, humour and adventure. It’s a musical journey through time, and the songs alone form a stunning collection with an historical theme including Warwick Academy’s history. All 27 actors and actresses are students at the Warwick Academy upper primary school. In the production, you will watch as four students and their substitute teacher travel back in time to see how times were different. Many of the students take on multiple roles. With Eden Robinson as the Keymaster and Mika Woods, Isabelle Perry, Angele Basden, and Hailey Barnett as the children, this performance will be the best yet. Actress Isabelle Perry (CJ) explains her thoughts and feelings about the play. “It’s going to be a really great play!” Isabelle exclaimed. “The part fits me.”Mika Woods (Beth) commented: “I think it will be successful. I’m happy that I got the part.”Eden Robinson (Keymaster) declared: “It’ll be the best play of the year, and I’m fortunate that I’m the leading role.”The play was chosen by Amanda Ingham and Davidson Bishop who chose to do a performance of “The Keymaster’ because it ties in with our 350th anniversary this year and the history of the school. They have been assisted by Jill Finnigan and Molly Cordeiro who have been helping out with the choreography, of which there is plenty. Tickets for the 6.30 evening performance on February 9 are on sale for $5 each and can be bought at the school’s main office. All are welcome!
