Thumbs up for ‘Zoozoo’

P6 Siese of Somerset Primary went to City Hall to a humorous presentation by the group “Zoozoo”, which was part of the Bermuda Festival in February. The show opened with a pitch-black room. Some of the little children screamed! Then lights started coming on onstage. The lights were blue with little yellow bits. They looked like eyes. The actors made the eyes dance around and then an actor like a dog catcher came out and tried to catch them. They ended up catching him! It was funny. My favourite part of the show was when the penguins were playing musical chairs. The mean penguin won because he knocked the other penguins off their chairs. That was hilarious. The accordions really got the audience to laugh as well. They were a bit like caterpillars, but they looked and sounded like musical instruments. They were moving back and forth along the stage like inchworms. Each one made a different sound. I wondered how they did that! The smallest one was a puppet, but for the others they must have had an actor inside.Another part I liked was the scene with the anteaters. The setting was a restaurant, and one anteater was waiting for his food. The other one was the waiter, who really wasn’t doing his (or her?) job. The big noses kept getting in the way of everything. Eventually, both anteaters found a different way to eat … they started eating ants off the floor!Thumbs up for “Zoozoo”! I would like to say thanks to the Bermuda Festival for inviting our school to attend the show, and our music teacher Miss Rose for organising it.
