Last Wednesday, February 5th, 12 students from Grades 3 to 5 participated in Mount Saint Agnes Academy’s Tenth Annual Spelling Bee. MSA’s Auditorium was abuzz (not “a buzz”) with excitement as the students demonstrated their language prowess. The competition was finally settled after 16 tense and challenging rounds, with fourth grader Kayla Tavares claiming first place after spelling “praise” and “mountain.” Nicole Stovell earned second place, ensuring that third grade was well-represented, while Ethan Lawler of fourth grade was awarded third overall.
