Are you between the ages of 11 and 18? If so, submit your film. The overall theme is ‘Local action, global impact: A community project on the world’.

The Bermuda National Gallery is asking young film-makers to explore sustainable development by addressing present and future global challenges and creating more sustainable ways of living in our societies. Youth film-makers are asked to consider the three issues of sustainable development: climate change, biodiversity and disaster risk-reduction.

The Reel Youth Film Festival pulls together an insightful, compelling and hilarious collection of short films from across the globe — all made by youth, and all on the theme of water. It features the underrepresented voices of children across the globe, and includes a diversity of genres. Chosen from hundreds of international submissions, this collection will show you the world through the eyes of an incredibly gifted emerging group of filmmakers. Laughing and learning are guaranteed. Reel Youth is a not-for-profit, media empowerment project based in Canada. It supports youth to create and distribute engaging films about the issues they care about most and play a meaningful role in inspiring positive change.

Hosted by the BNG Youth Arts Council, the BNG Youth Film festival will showcase short films created by young Bermudians alongside international youth films from around the world (REEL).
