Last week we visited the replica of The Deliverance in St George’s. It is in a bad state due to the damage from the storm.

The mast has been completely broken off and there are lots of leaks but they do not have money to fix everything. The guide told us to be careful so we would not get hurt.

I hope they repair the ship as it is the best attraction for children. I remember when my dad took me there when I was six. The animatronic robot of a sailor made me feel really scared.

The Deliverance really helped me to understand how people lived at that time.

We learnt the different names of the boats, what type of food they had to eat and what the boat was made of.

It was a very interesting experience and I hope we can go for another visit soon.
