The Whales

Swiftly gliding through the dark blue water;

Dancing graceful patterns on their ocean dancefloor;

My heart beats so fast I can hear it;

I can almost touch them it seems;

When they are miles beneath the surface;

Such beautiful songs these creatures sing;

Songs of the sea, songs like the ones of mythical mermaids;

We watch these huge, gentle giants for ages;

Til they glide back into the depths, not to be disturbed.
