First school trip for Year 6 girls a ‘magical experience’

Soaking it all in: Year 6 students enjoyed an educational trip to the capital of the United States

A total of 28 Year 6 girls travelled to Washington DC with Mrs Renaud, Mrs Chlebek, Mrs Hillen and Miss Cordeiro on their first school trip.

The girls visited historical monuments and memorials, museums and then explored Jamestown, Yorktown and Williamsburg to learn more about the early settlers and the important connections to Bermuda. The girls thoroughly enjoyed themselves and they were all wonderful ambassadors for BHS and Bermuda!

Emilia Berry said: “Our first school trip and the best trip ever!”

Amber McHugh added: “The trip made me independent and quite brave because we had all left our parents behind for six days.”

Ava Moreno said: “The Washington trip was an amazing opportunity to show how responsible my year six peers and I are.

“In a nutshell, the trip was a stupendous and magical experience.”
