Musicians prepare for summer concert
This has been a very exciting school year for our music students. Recently we did a concert at the Ramp to celebrate Bermuda Day.
We played our saxophones, flutes and clarinets. We also sat our Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music prep tests.
We had to perform in front of the examiner whole came from England to listen to us.
We all had to perform pieces of music from memory for her. We must have all played very well because she made some very nice comments about all of us!
Several weeks ago we performed in the Open Airways Day at City Hall and there were lots of people there to watch us. Now we are starting rehearsals for our summer concert next month.
We have done lots of concerts together since the beginning of the school year. Our teacher Dr Tully said that performing in a group and playing lots of concerts is the best way to improve our playing.
We think it’s lots of fun to play music with our friends!
Now we are looking forward to our summer concert.
